Trisno PAS Band Passes Away at 55 After Battling Severe Illness

Indonesian music icon Trisno, known as the bassist of PAS Band, passed away at the age of 55 after fighting critical health complications including kidney failure and brain blood clots, according to recent reports from fellow band members in Depok, West Java.

The musician faced a challenging decline in health over the past several months, showing persistent symptoms of fatigue, swollen legs, and severe dizziness that pointed toward underlying complications affecting his liver and overall physical well-being.

Citing reports from band drummer Sandy, the late bassist initially resisted going to the hospital despite his worsening condition until friends strongly persuaded him to seek professional medical attention just two weeks prior to his passing.

According to medical findings revealed during his hospital admission, doctors discovered that Trisno's kidney function had dropped to a critical five percent before subsequent tests uncovered dangerous blood clots in his brain requiring urgent surgical intervention.

Surgical Intervention and Final Farewell for the Late Musician

Based on reports from medical professionals, the critical brain blood clots posed an immediate risk of triggering a severe stroke, prompting doctors to perform a delicate operation on the right side of his brain to alleviate the pressure.

Although the surgical procedure was initially declared successful by the medical team, the late bassist unfortunately experienced severe seizures as a postoperative complication during his intensive recovery period in the hospital.

Bandmate Sandy shared emotional moments of visiting his longtime friend in the hospital, recalling how he encouraged the ailing musician by stating, "Ayo Bro sembuh, sembuh," urging him to keep fighting through the immense physical pain.

Following his passing, family members, fellow musicians, and loyal fans gathered to pay their final respects as Trisno was laid to rest at the Cikutra Public Cemetery in Bandung on Sunday morning, August 2, 2026.
